Bacteriostatic Water is a diluent containing a small amount of benzyl alcohol as a preservative, used to reconstitute lyophilized peptides for research use across multiple withdrawals from the same vial. Unlike plain sterile water, its preservative content makes it more suitable for multi-session reconstitution in a research setting. It contains no active peptide compound of its own.
